On Tuesday, April 28, NYC War Resisters League and many sponsoring groups held a vigil across from the U.N. at the Isaiah Wall, followed by direct action at the U.S. Mission to the U.N. The group called on the U.S. to stop talking and lead the way now in dismantling its nuclear arsenal. Maine WTR Jason Rawn is at the left end of the “demilitarize” banner. He arrived in New York with the Buddhist walk to the U.N. that had begun in California.
