Proposals on Hybrid Meeting Protocol & Against Restricting Discussion

  1. Hybrid Conference Proposal (15 minutes) Rick & Jenn
    1. AdComm recommendation: Approve framework as a goal, taking into account host abilities, privacy concerns, and costs. And to have an ad-hoc committee to work on this framework.
    2. Comments: Need to be not Chrissy or Lincoln. Perhaps host or a designated tech person. There are often on-the-site problems. Proposal to amend as a goal. Ask for volunteers during registration to work on technical support. Some hosts espouse minimalism and are low income. Delete sentence about purchase of equipment.
    3. Approved with 1 sideways: changed proposal to a goal and delete sentence on required purchase.
  2. Against Restricting Discussions (5 minutes) Rick & Jenn
    1. AdComm recommends not to adopt it. One person expressed support for it.
    2. Proposal fails with only one thumbs up.
