To commemorate the first anniversary of Trump’s inauguration, we will host a War Tax Resistance 101 on Zoom on Tuesday January 20th at 8p Eastern / 5p Pacific. Choose Democracy’s National Tax Strike will also be joining us for this session. Interest in war tax resistance continues to increase in the wake of ICE violence, attacks on Venezuela, threats to Greenland, and the list goes on…

In February, we will host another War Tax Resistance 101 as well as a workshop on filling out one’s W-4. (Dates will be determined shortly.)
On Saturday February 21st, we will host a WTR Counselors Training (11a-3:30p). This training is geared toward people who are already war tax resisters, who are thinking about being added to our list of area contacts and counselors. To register for this session, email the office with your name, address, and how long you have been a war tax resister.
Lastly, NWTRCC plans on promoting PIE Day on Saturday March 14th. We would encourage resisters to spread the word about war tax resistance on this day. This could include hosting a session on war tax resistance, vigiling outside, tabling, or some other action. Our hope is to capitalize on the War Resisters League handy pie chart and to connect with potential war tax resisters before Tax Day.
