New England War Tax Resistance Announcement

  • New England War Tax Resistance (NEWTR)’s bookkeeper and Alternative Fund manager, Becky Pierce, has given NEWTR’s board a year’s notice that she will leave that job next April.  This is a very small job, averaging 6-7 hours per month, paying $20 or more per hour, depending on need, and it starts Jan. 1, 2026, with a 2-3-month training period (working with Becky). Mary Regan <maryregan@hotmail.com> is the NEWTR person to contact for more info on the job (and for the timeline for the hiring process, which is still being determined).

Review of Conference:

Susan M – thank you for planners, enjoyed everything, good attendance, one longer break would be good; Rick – amazed that these are always great conferences, audio documentary was great, good job; Sue B – great conference, social hour worked really well, longer break at one point good, heavy chat at times; Susan Lee – wonderful program, Fri breakout rooms was great, concerns about the chat, clear guidelines would be helpful; Chrissy – panels/discussion were informative and inspiring, chat was challenging… maybe some protocol; Patricia – chat was also a challenge, enjoyed TAG and 101 conversation was warm and personal; Peter – panel discussion was great, how much planning falls on Lincoln/Chrissy; Cathy – esp liked panels on Saturday and David Gross’s info / tariffs, missed music; Eleanor – enjoyed all the conference; Sarah W – Friday was not a good session because of dynamic in group; Lincoln – wonderful event, thank you to all who helped bring it together; Shirley – I need to take off but big thumbs up for the section on resisting in trump time panel. Thumbs down on international panel, I feel poorly that I got sucked into the chat action, which was unfortunate all around. Appreciated the rep from Spain. Excellent work Chrissy and Lincoln!
