Thoreau buttonJuly was a momentous month for
Henry David Thoreau

He was born on July 12, 1817. Twenty-nine years later, he spent a night in jail in July 1846 for not paying poll taxes as part of his opposition to the Mexican-American War. Join us this month in celebrating Thoreau’s contributions to the war tax resistance movement on our Causevox page. Help Bill, Erica, Ruth and Rick raise $1,000 for NWTRCC by July 31!
