Tax Day Action Reports
Photos and reports from around the country of 2012 Tax Day and pre-tax day actions. It was a busy day, coinciding with the Global Day of Action on Military Spending and events around the world. Nearly 300 people have made their war tax resistance/refusal public this year as part of the War Tax Boycott. Many occupiers and unions were out to demand that the corporations and the rich pay their fair share — we add "Not for War!"

War Tax Resistance Speakers Bureau
Mike Butler
Mike Butler is the youngest member on the Administrative Committee of the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee. He is an avid dishwasher and spends his time between organizing with the IWW and volunteering at Trinity House Catholic Worker, where he lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mike first became aware of war tax resistance right after 9/11 when he realized that taxes were not going towards helping people but rather towards funding illegal war. His focus is on labor issues and why working class people should not pay taxes for wars that bosses use to kill working class people all around the world.
